PRELUDE is from a series of miniature compositions; sunday afternoon tea-time recording. Dating from the Bowdlerized Music days, BROWN CORDUROY SLIPPERS was once written and arranged for a regular rock band line up. This revised version was devided into 20 modules, each one recorded and mixed separately. Later the segments have been rejoined. Module 8 somehow sneaked into this as it was once living on its own, entitled SAUSAGE TANGO. Drums and percussion are often a mixture of programmed, performed, sampled (self made) and electronically generated sounds. Good examples for this technique are BRAINSTRØM, WORM EATEN THING and THE BROOD, among others. ”Akustische Kunst“ is the german name for a style presented through the french-titled IL FOUT TOUT CHANGER (No. II). Intro and outro orchestra parts of CELESTE were played on bass guitar using midi-converter technology and real world orchestra samples. The short lived Comprovisation Syndicate is at work on ENTOMOLOGY which means this is a combination of improvisation and montage turning it into a composition.
